NEWS FROM THE DESK OF THe- EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
PRLC is grateful to Mr. Frank Virostek, Director,
B. F. Jones Memorial Library, Aliquippa for the printing
of this issue of the Newsletter. · We have had good response
to our plea for help in printing the Newsletter so far this
year, but we need a volunteer for one more issue. If your
library can help, please call the PRLC Office (412-441-6409) .

After discussion at the January Board of Trustees and
Members meeting, PRLC voted to hold a two-day meeting in
conjunction with the May Board meeting to review PRLC goals
and plan for the future. The dates set aside to hold this
two-day session are May 16 and 17. The April issue of the
PRLC Newsletter will contain information on the content of
the meeting as well as time and location. Mark the dates
on your calendar!
Here at the PRLC Office we've been coping with the cold
by wearing hats ... and sometimes coats. Somewhere beneath
Chatham's rolling snowy lawns the water main which supplies
this building is frozen. Since mid-January we have been
carrying jugs of water from home to supplement the supply
we get from a sometimes unfrozen hose linked to an adjacent
building. As we were preparing the final copy of a grant
proposal two weeks ago, and even as I write this, the
electric power failed. Ah, it's back now. Oh green Spring
with your warm and sunny days, pussy willows and forsythia
The January 21 PRLC Members and Board of Trustees meeting
was held at the Ramada Inn-Airport. Two new members to PRLC
were voted on and welcomed atth~ meeting: Alderson-Broaddus
College, Philippi, West Virginia was accepted as a Voting
Member and the Central Pennsylvania District Library Center
