BRYCE WEIKER IS NEW
STATE LIBRARY BOARD MEMBER
Mr. Bryce \.Jeiker of Tiffin became
a member of the State Library
Board October 27, taking the
oath of office at the beginning
of the Board meeting. Mr. Weiker
was appointed to the Board for a
term extending to October 1982 by
the State Board of Education. He
suceeds Mr. Max Drake, who is moving
out of the state.
A state and national leader
in agriculture, Mr. Weiker is the
general manager of NOBA, Inc., in
Tiffin, Ohio. He is a member of
the National Management Association.
In 1975 he was elected to
the Board of Directors of the
National Association of Animal
Mr. l.Jeiker has held a number
of civic and community responsibilities
associated with education.
He was appointed to the Board of
Library Trustees of the Tiffin-Seneca County Public Library in 1974, and served
as chairman of their building committee for a new library. He served on the
Scipio-Republic Board of Education from 1950 through 1961. He was elected to
the State Board of Education in 1962 and was president of that Board in 1972.
He is active in the Lion's International, American Legion, National Grange and
American Farm Bureau Federation, and has served as an advisor of the National
4-H Council for- the past 20 years. He has been a director of the Republic Ohio
Bank Company for the past 16 years and currently serves as its Vice President.
