The State Library owns various incomplete runs of the proceedings of ' the
Ohio Medi cal Society from 1838 to 1901 .
The State Library Board . at its meeting May 14 at Columbus, unanimously
approved a resolution authorizing State Librarian Richar~ M. Cheski to offer
copies of the proceedings to an accredi ted Ohio medical school i n order to be
made more accessible to researchers .
In other action the Board rescinded an eariler motion because of
inaccurate calculations . The motion, (M-3-85), awarded $4 , 883 in Library
Services and Construction Act (LSCA) Title III funds from FFY 1984 carryover
funds to the Toledo-Lucas County Public Li brary for reference and interlibrary
loan services to the members of the Western Ohio Regi onal Library Development
System (WORLDS) during t he period May I , 1984 through September 30, 1984.
