BOARD ADOPTS NEW
RULES FOR
On January 20 the State Library rd adopted rev ed
rules of procedures for acting on q tions re ing
LIBRARY BOUNDARIES to library district boundaries. The hea on the
proposed rules to amplify Section 3375 . 01 of the
Revised Code preceded the State Library Board meeting.
Mr. Norton R. Webster, Legal Counsel, Ohio Library
As sociation/Ohio Library Trustees Association, testified at the hearing on suggested
changes in the revised boundary rules to clarify language and to maintain uniformity.
The new rules are mandated under Chapter 119 of the Administrative Procedures
Act and were drafted with the assistance' of the Office of the _Attorney General. The
adopted rules cover Sections 3375-4- 01, 3375-4-02, 3375- 4-03. 3375-4-04, and 3375-4-
05 of the Revised Code, as follows:
3375-4-01 Procedure for ACCEPTING and ACTING upon RESOLUTIONS for ESTABLISHMENT
of COUNTY DISTRICT LIBRARIES PURSUANT to DIVISION(E) OF SECTION
3375.01 OF THE Revised Code .
3375-4-02 Procedure for DETERMINING COUNTY DISTRICT LIBRARY BOUNDARIES
PURSUANT to DIVISION(E) OF SECTION 3375.01 OF THE Revised Code .
3375- 4- 05 Procedure for AMENDING, DEFINING and ADJUSTING LIBRARY BOUNDARIES
upon APPLICATION of the LIBRARY DISTRICTS , PURSUANT to DIVISION (G) OF
SECTION 3375.01 OF THE Revi8ed Code.
