Mrs. Virgene Moser , a Dayton community leader and
homemaker appointed to the State Library Board by
the State Board of Education November 12, participated
in her first Board meeting December 11. Mrs . Moser,
who took her oath of office for a term extendi ng to
1984 , succeeds Mr s. Jane Sterzer on the five- member
Board .
Mrs. Moser brings to the State Library Board 25 years of experience as a
Dayton community leader with a wide knowledge of and i nterest in government and
legislation. Her involvement in the city of Dayton government has ranged from
' service on the city's Energy Task Force to membership on the Dayton "City Beautiful"
Council. Current community activities include appointment to the St eering Committee,
Comprehensive Community Energy Management Program and election (for a second term)
to the Dayton Southeast Priority Board .
Through active participation in the League of Women Voters, Mrs. Moser serves
on the Vot ers Service and Juvenile Justice Commit tees. She is a past PTA board
member, and served as a member of the Citizens Advisory Council to the Dayton Board
of Education and on the Board of Directors of the Joint Office of Citizen Complaints.
Recently she was appointed to the Advisory Board of the Montgomery County Sunrise
Comprehensive Care Center. . ~ =
