Cataloging: User Manual
Early in March you should be receiving Cataloging: User Manual.
This manual is the first volume of 8 planned volumes that will be
replacing the On-line Cataloging manual. Copies of the manual will
be dis~ributed on the following basis:
a. one copy per participating library (i.e. per institution
symbol) and
b. one copy per terminal (including dial access and public
service terminals).
The manual will be shipped direct from OClC's bindery, not from
AMIGOS. If you should fail to receive your copy by the end of March,
please notify the AMIGOS office, not OClC.
Cataloging: User Manual is to supersede the follow chapters of and
addenda to On-line cataloging:
a. Cataloging with existing cataloging information;
b. Input cataloging;
c. Production of catalog cards;
d. Update function;
e. Prevention and correction of errors;
f. The "All PRODUCEII function (Addendum No.2);
g. Extra card function (Addendum, No.3) ..
It will also supersede the following OClC Technical Bulletins and
Memoranda:
Bibliographic Record Terminator (No. 28);
Catalog Card Reruns NO.r3J;
Cataloging Subsystem SAVE File (No. 27); .
