AT OHIO CENTER IN COLUMBUS

of speakers for the second OELMA/OLA 1981
Concurrent Conference, October 29-31 to be
staged at the Hyatt Regency Hotel and Ohio
Center in Columbus. The Ohio Library Trus­tees
Association and Ohio Friends of the

Seven preconference programs have been
planned to start on Wednesday the 28th. For
the fi rst time graduate credi t and/or CEU
credit will be awarded for some of the work­shops.
Russell Shank, Di rector, University Li­brary,
University of California Los Angeles,
wi 11 keynote the conference during the open­ing
session on Thursday.

Bettina Gregory, ABC White House Corres­pondent
has been selected to highlight the
conference banquet. Mi ss Gregory has report­ed
a number of exclusive stories for ABC on
controversial subjects; political campaigns
and ass i gnments abroad. She was educated at
Smith College in Massachusetts, at the Web­ber
Douglas Academy of Dramatic Art in Lon­don
and at Pierce College in Athens where
she graduated summa cum laude with a BA in
psychology and english.
At the third general session, Lillian
Gerhardt, Editor, School Library Journal,
is scheduled to speak.
The "For the People" programs wi 11 focus
on a potpourri of topics for talktables,
hands-on demonstrations and other needed
