These goal s shou ld be rev iewed every three
years, and the achievement of these goa ls
s hou ld be evaluated annuall y in the report of
the president.

Plans are complete for the Leadership Seminar
in Sept ember when the e lected and appoin ted
members come together to prepare for the
future. Thi s is an exc i ting t ime of review i ng
past accompl ishments, eva l uat i ng the progress
So far, and brainstorming for the yea r ahead.
The total membership is go i ng to have the
opportunity to have a say concer ning the over al
l directi on OLA wil I be tak i ng as they d i s cuss
the financi a l needs of the o rganization
at the fall conference. The Assoc ia t ion Financial
Support Study Comm i ttee ha s s umbitted
their careful ly tho ught -out recommendat ions
for discuss ion . Th ei r proposa l s for changes
in the dues s tru ctu re if accepte d wi 11 invo
l ve amending the constitution . The Organizat
ion Commi ttee has prepared the proper
amendment for membership act ion.
We all kn ow from personal experience the
toll exacted f rom in flation. The associati on
wil I have to ca ll upon the dwind l ing reserve
i t now has to keep going i f no cha nges are
made th is year. Certainly, there wi 11 be a
s low- down of real progress for the future if
addit ional i ncome i s unavailable .
Think about all of this and th ink about
the shape you want your assoc i at ion to take
in the years ahead. Your input at t he fR1 1
conference this year is of extreme importance.
