NATIONAL LIBRARY WEEK APRIL 2-8
The INFORMATION POWER of the library is
~ he theme chosen by the National Library
.leek Committee for this year's National Li-
-/brary Week in Ohio. The Committee purchased
commercially produced TV spots and arranged
statewide publ ic service television time to
carry this message to all corners of the
state. The TV campaign will begin during
National Library Week, April 2-8, and run
throughout the year. The theme of the TV
spot is "The search for knowledge is a cont
i nu i ng expe r i ence ... " Each of the th ree
spots zeroes in on a specific sub theme: I)
You are never too young or too old to enjoy
the library; 2) You never stop learning;
and 3) The I ibrary can give you the knowledge
and information for coping with everyday
problems. Originally produced by Calvin Productions
for the Missouri Library Association,
the tag on the commercials has been changed
to Ohio Library Association.
Assistance in determining the minimum
number of stations required to cover all
viewers in Ohio was obtained from the advertising
department of General Tire. It will
take 20 TV fi Ims to reach the enti ,'e state, Jtations included are WCPO, WKRC, WLWT (Cincinnati),
WEWS, WJKW, WKYC (Cleveland),
WBNS, WCMH, WTVN (Columbus), WDiN, ~HIO,
